 I'm sure I can't be the only one who's ever dreamed of having your own litle shinies to display wherever you want; this dream, it seems, is about to come true.
The boxes of the new series of Pokémon figures in Japan seem to have a token attached; collect five of these, and send them to Bandai's PokéKids Campaign address, to be entered into a monthly prize draw. There will be 200 winners every month, who win a set of PokéKids figures. These aren't the normal PokéKids set, though; these are shiny!
By "shiny", I mean colored exactly like the shinies of the video games. The pack is made up of;
Shiny Croagunk Shiny Magmortar Shiny Electivire Shiny Pachirisu Shiny Buneary Shiny Piplup Shiny Turtwig Shiny Chimchar Shiny Glaceon Shiny Leafeon
With only 200 sets given to random entrants every month, it's likely that these will soon be in very high demand. Expect the usual slew of fakes out of Hong Kong...

As with Pikachu, this is a solar-powered swing-head figure, made by Tomy (as most Pokémon figures seem to be nowadays.) It seems to follow the seasonal theme started by the Pikachu; while Pikachu had sprigs of holly, a Christmas-type stocking and a Pikachu snowman on its base, Piplup is surrounded by leaves and spring flowers. It is set to be released on the 28th August, 2008. (Information obtained via AAPF.) |

--New News--5 new Pokemon forms in Platinum. Confirmed --> All seem to be new forms of Rotom UnconfirmedPokemon Platinum domain name bought by NOJ (www.pokemon-platinum.com). It is in Japanese. Confirmed --> American Pokemon Platinum domain name (www.pokemonplatinum.com) still for sale. Confirmed At least three minigames can be found in the New WiFi Center. Confirmed Two of the Platinum BF facilities will be similiar to the Emerald Battle Tower and Battle Factory --> The PBF itself will have more of a Carnival Feel to it, such as the several vendors selling items. Confirmed The new WiFi center is likely going to be relatively large, as there are feries that will transport you. Unconfirmed Pokemon Ranger 2 to be released in America November 10th. Confirmed --> No Australian release data yet. Unconfirmed It is being rumored that the new WiFi center will actually be able to browse the web. This is however doubtful as such a utility would take months to develop well. Likely Untrue --Big Older News--Platinum will be Released 9/13 in Japan. I'm trying something unique out on Monday that I want all PokeZam visitors to be a part of. I'll be hosting a live webcam chat on blogtTV where you'll be able to chat with me live and ask me any questions you like. This will be a really fun experience.
